Few questions:

If any of you have the answer to these questions, please leave a comment:

1.  Why is it that we try to raise our kids to do the right thing, but other adults contradict what we are teaching?

2.  Why doesn't anyone see that it isn't teachers not doing their jobs, but the ever changing dynamics in the family unit.

3.  It isn't that teachers are racist but only 52% of African Americans and 55% of Hispanics graduate from high school, so why is there pointing fingers?

4.  Why aren't people nice?

5 Why can't we all work a 4 10 week?

6.  Why can't we put a comment in our own FaceBook status without people leaving rude ones?

7.  Why is it that I ALWAYS feel so dang guilty for things I can't control?

8.  Why are there wars?

9.  Why does racism exist?

10.  Why can't I sleep?

11.  Why can't we live in peace?

12.  Why can't laundry magically get done at night when everyone else is sleeping?

13.  Why can't I keep my house spotless like every one else?

I think I actually feel better :)

People are mean mostly because they are insecure or angry. People are stupid, well because, we just can't fix stupid. People are racist because their families taught them to be - babies are NOT born with any knowledge of skin color. People correct your kids because they feel that it gives them some kind of POWER that they can't get somewhere else - again - probably an insecurity problem. Teachers are an easy target and its much easier to blame teachers for what's wrong with your kid than to look in the mirror. Hmmmm.... I wish I could come up with something for the laundry fairy. I want one too. Everyone else does not have a spotless home - come over and look at your Aunt Sherry's. It's called WORKING MOM, if we had the extra 50 or so hours in a week that we spend nurturing other children AND ADULTS then possibly the house would be clean... And really, it doesn't matter how clean your house is, it matters how much love resides there. Your kids will never grow up and remember when your house was or was not spotless - they will remember the time you spent with them.

I just realized that you didn't ask why people are stupid....
Maybe that addresses #6.

Bless your heart, Misty. Sometimes the only reason kids turn out okay is because they have caring teachers. And sometimes parents lash out at teachers because of their own insecurities and feelings of inadequacy. It's sad to think that in some cases the only refuge a child has from negativity is in their classroom. I just know that your classroom is such a place.
About the clean house thing....mine is a sty 99% of the time.
No, seriously, it is.
Love you!
